We have three fully renovated vintage airstreams to choose from, each with a unique design and layout. Each airstream has a stove/oven or both, a shower stocked with all natural bath products, cassette toilet, one-two parking spaces, a picnic table and a fire ring. You also have access to the bath house, and communal BBQ grill and propane fire pit. Choose the one that's right for your crew and trip! Note that we do not permit extra camping on the airstream sites.

We have two stand alone dry cabins that have a full and twin bunk style bed in each. They can accommodate 3 adults or 2 adults + 2 small children. Each cabin has two parking spaces, its own fire ring, trash can and picnic table with access to the bath house, and communal propane fire pit and BBQ grill. Both cabins feature a garage style door that opens up to views of the Arkansas River below. Note that we do not permit extra camping on the cabin sites.

Level, clean 35 x 35 - 50 x 50 camp spaces with two parking spaces, electrical hookups, potable water, fire ring, trash can, picnic table, shade awning, and access to the bath house, communal BBQ grill, and propane fire pit. Ideal for tent camping or larger rigs (campers, vans, and RV's). Limit two tents and two vehicles per booking.
**Note that we do not have on-site dumping for RV's.
Large handicap accessible men's and women's restrooms, four private indoor showers, one outdoor shower., and one outdoor utility sink to wash gear or pets. Each indoor private shower is stocked with all natural shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Towels are not provided.
*Please call 720-713-9448 if you are not a guest at the campground, but would like to fill your water tank or take a shower for a small fee.
Group gathering area with gas fire pit, gas BBQ grill, benches and picnic table. Large open area for games when parking lot is not full. Real wood fires are only permitted in designated fire rings when burn ban is not in effect.
Park your ATV or Raft trailer out of the way of your campsite or cabin in a separate area free of charge! This space can also be utilized for group activities or games when spaces allows.

-Designed to sleep two - four, one full bed and dinette conversion bed ranging from queen-king size.

La Plata Peak (Deluxe): ($175/night)

All airstreams have individual parking for one-two cars, a picnic table, and a fire ring. Guests may also utilize our bath house, communal area with a BBQ grill & propane fire pit, as well as river access.

**A REFUNDABLE $250 DAMAGE DEPOSIT IS DUE ON THE DAY YOU CHECK IN, THE HOST WILL REACH OUT TO YOU FOR THIS PRIOR TO CHCK IN. THE DEPOSIT WILL BE REFUNDED WHEN THE HOST CONFIRMS NO DAMAGE HAS OCCURRED UPON CHECK OUT.
All airstreams are fully powered, with heat and running water. Each come fully stocked with linens, towels, all natural shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand & dish soap, dinner ware & cutlery for up to four people, pour over style coffee, cooking utensils, and a recycled aluminum pot & pan free of PFAS, PFOA, lead, and cadmium.
*Please do not bring additional tents or sleep-in vehicles when renting airstreams. Each airstream is permitted up to two vehicles.
*Dinette conversation beds are beds that are converted to a bed from the dining table area.
Mt. Yale & Mt. Oxford Cabins: ($110 / night each)
-Designed to sleep three adults or two adults and one-two small children. One full bed and one twin bed, bunk style.
-Both cabins have a garage style door that opens up to views of the Arkansas River below, a picnic table, and fire ring.
Both cabins have individual parking for two cars, a picnic table, and a fire ring. Guests may also utilize our bath house, communal area with a BBQ grill & propane fire pit, as well as river access.
Both cabins come equipped with solar lights and a radio, and are furnished with bedding, but do not have running water.
*PET FEE REQUIRED WITH CABIN RENTALS, BE SURE TO SELECT THIS WHEN BOOKING YOUR CABIN. $25 / PET
*Please do not bring additional tents or sleep-in vehicles when renting cabins. Each cabin is permitted up to two vehicles.
Spots 3-10: ($50 / night)
-Enjoy a level, clean 50x50 pull through spot.
-Each space has a camper / tent space + parking for 2 vehicles.
-Each space has electric hook ups, water hookup, a trash can, picnic table, and a shade awning.
*Tent campers, the ground is a sand /gravel texture, plan accordingly.
*WIND ADVISORY: strong winds frequent this area, ensure you have a good quality tent and steaks to stabilize when necessary.
*Pet Fee not required for tent / rv spaces, but you are responsible for picking up after your pet.
Guests may also utilize our bath house, communal area with a BBQ grill & propane fire pit, as well as river access.
We stock our bath house and airstreams with only the best products. Public Goods provides all our shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand & dish soaps. We use Public goods for all our surface, bathroom and glass cleaning in all units. Each are plant based products derived from coconut, corn, lemon or jasmine. This lineup also helps us eliminate single use plastic bottles from our campground by utilizing a refill method to replenish products.

We encourage our guests to recycle cans while staying at the campground. While, we only have the capacity to recycle on a small scale, we are working to increase this capability to a larger capacity. We use Public Goods recycled trash bags through out the campground and are proud to say these bags are produced with 100% raw recycled materials and degrade within 5 years.
Our airstreams are stocked with a GreenLife pot and pan to make you feel at home cooking your favorite meals. These pans are produced with aluminum and boast a wobble free base for comfortable cooking. They are also FREE of: PFAS, PFOA, lead, and cadmium.

Yes, dogs are allowed but must be on a leash at all times. Dogs are also not to be left unattended in any of our units or spaces. Please pick up after your pets, we have waste bags posted around the property. We do not allow the following Dogs breeds: Dobermin Pinchers, Rottweilers, Chaos, and Pitbulls. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Yes, we have access to the Arkansas River from the campground via a short trail. Feel free to bring your own kayak, raft or paddle board or go with any local river guide company.
Buena Vista is a short 3 mile drive or bike ride from camp. If you are biking to Buena Vista, it is recommended that you take Arizona Street. Salida is about 25 minutes south from camp by car.
Yes, there is a Dominos Pizza, a liquor store, cafe, two gas stations, and two food / coffee trucks that occasionally are parked and open. Station 26 cafe has coffee, breakfast, lunch, limited adult beverages and free wifi. There is also an indoor climbing and fitness facility, Peak Fitness less than 2 miles away where you can drop in on yoga classes and more for a small fee.
No, we do not have wifi. Station 26 Cafe is within walking distance and has free wifi.
The surrounding areas have a plethora of outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, rafting, kayaking, climbing, hot springs, gem mining, a ghost town and more. There is also a local thrift store, outdoor music venue called "The Lawn", and fantastic restaurant options as well.
Each cabin, airstream and tent / RV spot have room to park two vehicles. We also have an overflow lot you are welcome to use for trailers etc. free of charge.
We do allow campfires when local burn ban policies allow. Each cabin, airstream and tent / RV spot have their own fire ring. We also have a communal gas powered fire pit that all are welcome to use.
Yes, we are a family friendly campground and encourage you to bring the whole family! There are open spaces for kids to play and river access from camp. It is recommended for parents to supervise children while at the river.

Early check in is available upon request if the site is vacated and ready. Please contact the host to arrange this if you are interested.
Late check - out
Late check out can be accommodated by 30 minutes if requested and approved by the host pending vacancy and turn over. Please communicate with the host to see if this can be accommodated.
Park Rules
7 MPH limit is strictly enforced throughout the property
Check in and check out must occur between scheduled hours
All guests agree to treat property with respect and abide by quiet hours between 10pm - 8am
Pet policy must be followed at all times
NO SMOKING in the Cabins or Airstreams, this is strictly enforced and includes vaping of all kinds. If you desire smoking, please do so at a respectable distance from all other campers. Considering the proximity of the RV/Tent sites it is encouraged that you navigate to the overflow parking area to smoke and dispose of smoking materials in the appropriate receptacle.
Alcohol is encouraged to be consumed responsibly and within reason and respect to other guests.
Trespassing
Please do not enter the Johnson Village Wildlife area without the proper documentation. A valid hunting or fishing license or SWA pass is required for everyone 16 years or older to enter the Johnson Village Wildlife Area.
These can be purchased through CPW authorized sales agents, by phone (1-800-244-5613) or online at CPWShop.
Parking
All accommodations will have room to park 1-2 cars each, we also offer a separate area for you to store your trailer, raft, or ATV free of charge in our overflow parking lot.
Quiet Time
Quiet time is observed from 10pm - 8am, violators will be asked to quiet down, or asked to leave without a refund if noise continues.
Clothing Hanging
We do not allow clothing or towels to be hung up outside of RV’s, tents, or cabins. Please help yourself to our on site laundry facility.
Check in / Check out
Check in is after 2pm. Check out is 11am. Please ensure your area is free of trash and personal belongings prior to check out.
Speed Limit
Please abide by our 7MPH speed limit, pedestrian and wildlife crossings are frequent.
Trash
Please dispose of all trash in your provided receptacle.
Firewood
We have a communal gas powered fire pit on site for everyone to use. Firewood can be burned depending on the current county fire ban status. We will have firewood for sale when allowed.
Smoking and Alcohol
Please keep alcohol use to your reserved area and at a responsible level. Smoking is not allowed indoors, ensure proper disposal in appropriate receptacles at all times.
Dirt Bikes / ATV
We do not allow recreational motor vehicles to be operated on campground property at any time.
Generators
Generators are not permitted in the campground. We offer electrical hookups for RVs.

INCLEMENT WEATHER: Our Bathhouse and Airstreams are not equipped for Winter Use. Rafters Roost reserves the right to close the bathhouse and cancel Airstream rentals in the event of winter storms that could damage equipment/systems.
We reserve the right to charge your original payment method to any damage done to units or property as a whole.
ALL AIRSTREAM GUESTS ARE CHARGED A $250 DAMAGE DEPOSIT THE DAY THEY CHECK IN. IT IS FULLY REFUNDABLE ON THE DAY YOU CHECK OUT ONCE THE HOST CONFIRMS NO DAMAGE HAS BEEN DONE.
